TVB is the largest television broadcaster in Hong Kong, providing news and entertainment to over 2m households, and one of the largest commercial Chinese programme producers in the world.

 

Octupus monthly lifestyle magazine, the European edition of TVB Weekly, was developed in order to continue to build strong relationships between the brand and its viewers overseas. It's packed with high-quality stories; think latest entertainment news, exclusive interviews with actors, fashion and beauty tips, and inspiring travel features.

 

With a new market and global audience outside Hong Kong, the magazine needed a different approach to design. By using a "minimal”, more editorial aesthetic, it was a stark difference from traditional Chinese layout and design, but it opened up the magazine to a wider, younger audience and helped bridge the gap between quick hit and in-depth read.
